Rochester, NY 14612 Dear Auxiliary Member, You and your family are cordially invited to the Annual Ira Jacobson American Legion Post Picnic on Sunday, August 5th, 2007. The cost is $5.00 per family. We are looking forward to meeting our new members as well as mingle with our old members. There will be food, fun for the kids, 50/50 raffle, and good company, especially if YOU come!! We would also like to plan events for our new year and would like your feedback! We need your help!!!! Are you interested in helping with the Children’s Christmas Party or volunteering a couple of hours at a picnic or a citizenship award ceremony at a local school? Would you be interested in attending Naturalization Court? Or maybe help with an activity we are planning for a local Brownie troop we have adopted? Let us know if you are interested. Below are some of the events coming up: July 29, 2007 - Bath VA Hospital Picnic. If you are able to help we can provide transportation. Please contact Dottie Dodd at 663-5139 or Kathy Cubit at 647-9297. The veterans look forward to this picnic and it is a nice way for us to say “thank you” for the sacrifices they have made for our country. September (date to be determined) - Brownie Safety Kit Activity
We will be helping brownie troop # 265 put together a travel safety kit.

December (Dates to be Determined)- Tree Lighting Ceremony
December 16th - Children’s Christmas Party Every fourth Monday of the month, we will have our meetings with the first one beginning Monday, September 24th. You are invited to come for dessert and coffee before hand at 6:00pm on September 24th to kick off our new year!! The meeting will begin at 7:00pm. All auxiliary members are welcome to attend!! You can find a list of officers on the reverse side of this letter. If you have any ideas or are free to help out with any of these events, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Rochester, NY 14613 At the State convention (July 20-22) Dorothy Dodd won County Unit Member of the Year, Dorothy also won the Department of New York Unit Member of the Year Awards. This is a prestigious award for her many contributions and hard work through the years. Mary Masline won the Department of NewYork County Public Relations Press Book Award. This book contains all of the County Activities for 2006. We will send a letter within the next month giving information regarding upcoming events/meetings and listing the Officers and Committee leaders for this year. We look forward to meeting our new members and seeing our old members.
